Application process

To apply Students should complete an application form.  If you wish your financial details to remain confidential please submit these on a separate sheet.

Application forms must include a reference from a member of academic staff and approved by the relevant Head of School.

Completed application forms with reference and approval should be submitted to the Financial Support Service, Student Support Centre, 50 Park Place, Cardiff, CF10 3AT.

Applicants should receive an acknowledgement within 10 days of applying.  Payments of awards will not normally be made prior to the start of the project.

When allocating awards, all funding available to the student (including their student funding) and the value of the project to the school/University will be taken in to account.  

Applications should clearly detail the expense of the project, the students contribution to these costs and any other available funding. 

Before payments are disbursed it must be clear that the student has sufficient funds to safely complete the project.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year until the fund is exhausted.  The fund is limited.

The ultimate decision on awards rests with the Head of Student Advisory.
