British Idealism and Collingwood Centre
The Collingwood Centre was established in 1994 at the University of Wales, Swansea, with the aim of promoting and encouraging research into the life and philosophy of R. G. Collingwood and moved to Cardiff University in 2000, broadened it remit to encompass British Idealism and became a Cardiff University Research Centre.

Wales Governance Centre
The Wales Governance Centre was inaugurated in February 1999 as a Cardiff University Research Centre and functions as a centre for scholarly research and practical advice on legal and political matters relating to the National Assembly for Wales, most notably the political, legal and public policy significance of the Government of Wales Act 2006.

Centre for Modern German History
The Cardiff Centre for Modern German History (CCMGH) is a collaborative venture between the School of European Studies and the School of History and Archaeology. It adopts a broad definition of its remit, covering original research into all aspects of the history and culture of German-speaking central Europe since 1750, including its art and literature.
