The School is at the cutting edge of research on Europe, and has become one of the leading departments of its kind in the UK. The combination of established researchers with international reputations and young scholars has meant that the School has been able to develop a dynamic and forward-looking research ethos. Great attention is paid to providing postgraduate students with the facilities and supervision which the successful completion of postgraduate research requires.
