Postgraduate Funding Opportunities

Cardiff University and Cardiff School of European Studies (EUROS) together offer an array of funding opportunities and funding information to prospective postgraduate students.
Before you can apply or be considered for funding, you will need to have a firm offer of a place to study at Cardiff University.
Submit your application for admission to EUROS early to allow sufficient time for applying for studentships, grants or loans (please see How to apply) Many funding bodies have early deadlines, often March or April. Please see information for each award for specific deadlines.
Arts and Humanities Research Council
The University is currently a Block Grant Partnership holder for the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), and offers a variety of postgraduate studentships.
ESRC Wales Doctoral Training Centre
The establishment of a Doctoral Training Centre will allow more than 30 new postgraduate studentships to be offered every year in Wales for the next five years.
James Pantyfedwen Foundation
Support is available for postgraduate study in all subject areas, but mainly for research. Available to Welsh students only.

President's Scholarships
The School, together with Cardiff Law School (CLAWS) and Cardiff School of Social Sciences (SOCSI) will be awarding a number of President’s Scholarships for Multiculturalism and Law Policy and Politics for the 2012-13 academic year.
Santander Scholarship
The Santander scholarships offers 3 part fees scholarships of £3000 each. The Scholarships are available to students wishing to study on a Masters programme in the School.
The Professor URQ Henriques Scholarship Fund
The School will award this scholarship next in 2013/14. Cardiff School of English, Communication & Philosophy will award the scholarship 2012/13 academic year.
