My main areas of research are psychoanalysis, film, critical and political theory, as reflected particularly in my work on Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žižek. I am currently developing a research project on enjoyment (jouissance), ideology critique and emancipation, investigating the theoretical scope and practical applicability of Žižek’s distinctive blend of Lacan, Hegel and Marx. I have also written on the Frankfurt School and Italian author Pier Paolo Pasolini. As co-director of the Žižek Centre for Ideology Critique, I welcome enquiries and proposals for postgraduate research on all aspects of Žižek’s work as well as on any of the above disciplines.
