Open days
An open day gives you the ideal opportunity to find out if your chosen universities really are as good as they look in the prospectus. At open days, you will get the chance to inspect the learning facilities, attend taster lectures, see your possible future accommodation, visit the Students’ Union and tour the campus.

As well as the university wide open days, the School hosts additional open days for applicants in receipt of conditional or unconditional offers.
For prospectives students and parents who are unable to attend one of the open days, the University has produced a self-guided Campus Tour, which you can use to take your own tour of the Cathays Park campus.

Student Union
Our Students Union, one of the biggest and most successful in Britain, provides a focus for over one hundred and fifty different sporting and social societies. From aerobics to aikido, drama to debating, music to mountaineering, there's a vast range of activities to choose from. The Union has a popular nightclub and concert venue and its cafes and games room provide a retreat during the day. You will also find an informal advisory service, a jobshop and a range of useful shops - all dedicated to Cardiff's students.

Athletic Union
The Athletic Union is the body that supports all sporting activity at Cardiff University Students' Union. This includes over 60 sports clubs and a number of recreational sports programmes.
