School staff elected as Council and Fellows of the Learned Society of Wales

Three members of staff from our School have been elected fellows of the Learned Society of Wales, and the Head of School has been elected to its Council.

The new Fellows are Dr Peter Dorey, Professor Claire Gorrara and Professor Andrew Vincent (Honorary Professor in the School).

Head of School, Professor David Boucher has been elected to the Council of the Learned Society of Wales (joining Professor Kenneth Dyson who is also a Council member).

The Learned Society of Wales was launched on 25 May 2010. Its first President and Chair of Council is Sir John Cadogan CBE DSc FRSE FRSC PLSW FRS. The Society aims to establish itself both as a recognised representative of the world of Welsh learning internationally and as a source of authoritative, scholarly and critical comment and advice on policy issues affecting Wales.
