Location: Redwood Building, Room 2.60
Cardiff Research Group on Politics of Translating (CRGPT) School of European
Guest Speaker: Professor Michael Cronin (Dublin City University)
In the dual perspective of a globalised world and of the European Union the notion of border calls for new definitions. Its theoretical and practical acquaintance with boundaries-crossing should allow translation, in a broad sense, to provide relevant insights and inputs regarding this issue. CRGPT’s “Translating (at) the border” workshops draws together contributions from an open range of disciplinary and cultural backgrounds.
This event is supported by the Cardiff Humanities Research Institute
A second workshop, ‘Translating (at) the Border’ II, will take place during the autumn semester. For further details please contact Prof Alexis Nuselovici (NuseloviciA@cardiff.ac.uk) or Dr Esther Milardi (MilardiE@cardiff.ac.uk).
