Our first alumni initiative of 2012 aims to connect with former graduates through two events to be held in the School. The first event is a teachers’ afternoon on Thursday 17 February. We are inviting Cardiff graduates, who are still in the UK and who are now secondary school teachers (in languages and politics), to come to lunch and to our training session.
Teacher Training Afternoon
We are planning two events in 2012. The first is a teachers’ afternoon on Thursday 17 February. We are inviting Cardiff graduates, who are still in the UK and who are now secondary school teachers (in languages and politics), to come to lunch and to our training session.
We would like to bring you up to speed with the latest developments in teaching (beginners’ languages, translation techniques, teaching social sciences). We also want to tell you about a number of other issues of potential interest, including our school exchanges, tuition fees/ bursaries and the year abroad.
Full details of the programme will be sent to you in the New Year.
Alumni Dinner
The second event is an alumni dinner which should take place in early July (date to be confirmed). This will be open to a much wider field and will be organised by the university's alumni office.

If you are interested in either or both of these events, please contact Anne James with your details (degree subjects, current contact details and, if it's not too sensitive, current job!). You will also have to register online with our alumni office, which only takes a couple of minutes.
