Entry requirements

Applications are considered from candidates with a range of qualifications, including A-Levels and the International Baccalaureate.

We accept the Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma. If you are taking the Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma and we make you an offer, the offer will be based on a pass in the Core and two specified A-Level grades.

We judge each application on its merit, and treat them ‘holistically’, meaning we take all relevant factors into account when making decisions about admissions. We do not treat applications mechanically, but look for a balance of factors that suggest strong potential and aptitude for our degree programmes. Individual offers made to applicants may vary according to the applicant’s individual academic profile.

Language beginners

Applicants who have not studied the language previously are welcomed on the German, Spanish and Italian degree programmes. Grade B or above in another foreign language at A-level is required.
