Cardiff-Bordeaux Joint Degree/Diploma

This innovative four-year scheme allows students to obtain the BSc (Econ) in Politics from Cardiff University, as well as the Diploma from the prestigious Sciences Po in Bordeaux (one of nine Instituts d'Etudes Politiques in France).
Each year around 15-20 French and British students are admitted onto the scheme. The French and British students divide their time evenly between the two centres.
All students spend their first year in Cardiff, their second year in Bordeaux, their third year in Cardiff and their final year in Bordeaux. Successful students will receive not only the Cardiff BSc (Econ) degree in Politics, but also the Diplôme from Sciences Po in Bordeaux.
This innovative scheme is aimed at strong candidates who combine language skills with a background in the social sciences or history. Entry to the scheme is very competitive.
Applications are welcomed from those taking French A-level, preferably in conjunction with Politics, History or one of the social sciences.
Applicants who are French nationals, who hold the French baccalaureat and/or who have been educated in France for most of their school lives should apply through Bordeaux IEP.
Cardiff University welcomes all other applications.
