My research project deals with the institutionalisation and the government of sub national authorities and compares processes of "regional" governance in France, Québec and Wales. By focusing on knowledge construction processes, it aims at achieving a deeper understanding of the transformation of governing systems, in a context of reconfiguration of the relationships between the central state and sub national governments ; and in a context of transformation of planning approaches, forward-looking studies and territorial imaginaries. More precisely, this research is dealing with the generation and the implementation of broad foresight processes in strategic planning and analyses its link to the capacity of sub national authorities to build a global and shared "vision" of their territory and to manage a regional governance.
Thanks to Alistair Cole and the School of European Studies, I work in Cardiff from September to December 2012. It helps me to understand the devolution process in Wales and to deal with the Welsh Government's activities in the field of future's understanding and strategic planning.
