Dr Roisin Willmott

Dr Willmott completed her PhD, Thesis entitled ‘The Implementation of European Regional Policy in Wales: An Examination of Multi-Level Governance’ in 2005.
She is currently National Director at the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Cymru. RTPI Cymru is part of a UK and Ireland Institute which leads the way in the creation of places that work now and in the future. The RTPI’s work involves: promoting good planning; developing and shaping policy affecting the built environment; consistently raising the standards of the planning profession; supporting their members through continued professional development; education and training. Members are offered a series of seminars and events to assist with their continuing professional development requirements, and also given access to 'Cynllunio’, a regular newsletter. RTPI Cymru has a membership of almost 1,100 planners, drawn from the Welsh Assembly Government, National Parks and local government, private consultancies, the education sector and other organisations working in the field of town and country planning.
