Professor Alistair Cole

- Book 'Governing and Governance in France' obtained CUP nomination for Best Book in Political Science for the WJM McKenzie Prize (2008 - unsuccessful)
Professor Hugh Compston
- ESRC Small Grant, £81,893.72 to research and write a monograph
- Leverhulme Research Fellowship, £21,000 to research and write a monograph (2004-05)
- Grant from the European Commission, £23,884.51 to finance an international project (1998-2000)
Dr Gordon Cumming
- British Academy Large Research Grant 'Towards a new policy partnership? France and Britain since Malo', £79,000 (2007-10)
- Three year award in collaboration with Portsmouth University. The Project has led to six research articles, research seminars at Cardiff and Portsmouth University, keynote papers at Chatham House and IFRI, and an edited book to which I contribute in whole or in part five chapters.
- Leverhulme trust Research Fellowship, £16,900, to focus on the role of French NGOs in the Global Era. Resulted in a Monograph (2003-04)
- Home Office, £13,000, Research Funding while undertaking a research management role in the home Office Research, Development and Statistics Directorate. Responsible for £1million research budget and for three post-doctoral research staff (2002)
Dr Pete Dorey
- Fellowship of the Royal Historical Society (FRHistS)

- Winner of Political Studies Association prize for the best book on Conservatism published in 2011.
Professor Kenneth Dyson

Dr Edwin Egede
- Dr Edwin Egede appointed as an alternate member of the International Law Association
- Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (September 2009 to date)
- Won United Nations(UN)/ United Nations Institute for Training and Research(UNITAR) Fellowship in international Law and attended courses at the prestigious Hague Academy of International Law (2000)
- Acted as legal consultant/advisor to a State government In Nigeria on Law of the Sea issues in respect of the Supreme Court of Nigeria case of Attorney-General of the Federation v. Attorney-General of Abia State, Attorney-General of Lagos State & 34 Ors, SC.28/2001.(2000 to 2001)

Dr Peter Sutch

Dr Stephen Thornton
- Awarded (with Adam Sharr of ARCHI) £500 from the Cardiff Humanities Research Institute (CHRI) Board, for a joint ARCHI-EUROS project: 'Demolishing Whitehall: Harold Wilson, Leslie Martin and a New Architecture for Government' in January 2010.
