Facilities and Room Information
This is a board room style seminar room with a capacity of 8. There are loose chairs which can be moved to accommodate up to 6 wheelchair spaces.
The seminar room door is 870mm wide.
The lighting levels are very good and bright. The lights come on as you enter the room.
There is good contrast between the floor and the walls.
Furniture in the room should be arranged as shown in the photograph at all times. Providing it is arranged correctly, there is a passing space between the wall to the left of the door and the chairs of 1200mm. There is a passing space of 700mm wide on the left and 500mm on the right (looking into the room from the door).
There is limited space around the lectern in this room.
The chairs do not have arms. The seat height from the floor is 470mm.
There is a clear space of 700mm from the floor to the underside of the desks.
The height of the lectern is 840mm from the floor to the surface.
The flip chart is 850mm from the floor to the underside and is attached to the wall.
The white board is 1100mm from the floor to the underside.
The light switch is 1120mm from the floor.
There is TV attached to the wall.
There is not a hearing loop in this room.
The emergency exit route is clearly labelled (the green running man) and there are 5 exits in total on the ground floor. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the exits and exit routes. The exits are shown on the plan on the right hand side of this screen.
If you think you might require assistance in the event of an emergency evacuation, you must arrange a Personalised Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) as soon as possible. Students must contact their School Disability Contact to arrange a PEEP. Staff will need to contact their School / Division Disability Contact or their manager to arrange a PEEP. Please remember that it is your responsibility to inform the relevant person that you require a PEEP to be set up.
