Accessible Route

From the main entrance to the John Percival Building, go straight ahead, either through the coffee shop or the external courtyard (via automatic doors).  Follow the corridor straight ahead, past the Colum Drive exit, taking the corridor on the left; 0.45 is the second room on the right.


Facilities and Room Information

This is a fixed seating, level lecture theatre

There is level access into the lecture theatre

There are currently no designated wheelchair spaces in this theatre

There is a telephone in this room, located at the back of the theatre, positioned 1360mm from the floor

The lectern and computer surface height from the floor is 1000mm

The light switches are positioned 1300mm from the floor


Emergency Evacuation

The emergency exit route is clearly labelled (the green running man).  There is an emergency exit door at the rear of 0.45; from this door, straight ahead to the left there is an emergency exit door leading outside.  From the front of 0.45 follow the corridor to the Colum Drive exit door.

Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the exits and exit routes. There are building floor plans on the right hand side of the John Percival Building page.  

If you think you might require assistance in the event of an emergency evacuation, you must arrange a Personalised Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) as soon as possible.  Students must contact their School Disability Contact to arrange a PEEP.  Staff will need to contact their School / Division Disability Contact or their manager to arrange a PEEP.  Please remember that it is your responsibility to inform the relevant person that you require a PEEP to be set up.
