Professor John Ramsay

Professor Ramsay moved to France from the ETH and University of Zürich, Switzerland, where he is Emeritus Professor of Geology, having been Professor of Geology from 1977 to 1992 and Head of Department für Erdwissenschaften 1983-1985 and 1991-1992. He is currently studying the geometrical features of superimposed folds, and working as a Visiting Research Associate with the British Geological Survey on a research project to study the structure of the Moine Thrust zone of NW Scotland.
