Our courses provide a research-led, holistic view of the Earth which the oceans, atmosphere, biosphere and lithosphere are studied in depth as constituent components of the Earth's system.

We have 18 undergraduate degrees, which all start with a common first semester allowing you to sample the broad aspects of Earth and ocean science before making your choice.

Our four year MESci programmes are aimed at training students for a professional research career. MESci qualified Cardiff University students may be able to enter PhD programmes directly.
