The Disability and Dyslexia Service offers:
- Information, advice and guidance to current disabled students, applicants and potential students about support and services at Cardiff University
- Support to disabled applicants, including those with specific learning difficulties, sensory impairments, physical impairments, long term medical conditions and mental health difficulties
- Information on the type of support you may need specific to your individual disability, medical condition, mental health difficulty or specific learning difficulty
- Support with applicants for Disabled Students' Allowances and carrying out DSA Needs Assessments
- Screening and assessments for students with specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia and dyspraxia
- A Study Skills Service providing one-to-one tuition on study strategies and skills appropriate for students with specific learning difficulties and other disabilities
- A Support Worker Service, providing not takers, buddies and library support
- Assistance with the organisation of specific examination support and arrangements
- Provide information on services for disabled students at Cardiff University's library and computing services
- Advice and guidance to staff working with disabled students.
