Guidance on completing the application form
Follow the guidance notes and instructions for the on-line or paper-based application process, selecting DENTAL as the School you would like to study at. In the following sections include the following details:-
In Programme Details indicate the title of the research project (if known) or the research group you wish to work with (see research pages). Provide the name of a potential supervisor or supervisors relevant to the nature of research you wish to pursue.
In English Language Competency indicate appropriate qualifications. Applications MUST demonstrate the English requirements of the University. If qualification is pending then an application may be placed on hold or considered if the candidate can confirm English language skills via an alternative means. Attainment of an appropriate English language qualification will be a condition of any offer made.
English requirements of the University
In personal statement include an overview of why you want to undertake a higher degree and your personal attributes to support your application (approximately 500 words).
In research proposal include a detailed statement of past research experience and expertise relevant to the research area you wish to apply for (approximately 500 words). You are not expected to develop a project at this stage. This will be done as part of the application process in collaboration with prospective supervisors.
As supporting documentation include:-
- A self-prepared CV (in place of research proposal)
- Photocopies of any relevant supporting documentation (e.g. degree certificate, transcripts, TOEFL test results)
- Equality Monitoring Form
