Selected Projects
- Along with Dr Alastair Sloan and the Mineralised Tissue Group (of which I am a member) and other colleagues within Cardiff University, we are investigating the effects of contemporary dental restorative materials on the dentine-pulp complex, as well as investigating the development of novel biologically-active dental restorative and endodontic materials. I am Principal Investigator on a grant from the Dunhill Medical Trust in this area;
- Previous and ongoing projects of interest have included examination contemporary trends in dental education and teaching programmes (e.g. teaching of posterior composites, community-based clinical teaching, fixed and removable prosthodontics, dental implants), along with trends in general dental practice (e.g. placement techniques for posterior composites, use of rubber dam and quality issues in the provision of prosthodontic care).
