All involve threats to public and environmental health, and efforts to analyse and tackle them increasingly draw on a range of disciplinary perspectives from across the natural and social sciences and the humanities.  Sustainability science has emerged as an umbrella term for the variety of research that these and related topics span, much of which is undertaken in separate schools and departments across the GW4 (Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter).

This graduate symposium to be held at the National Museum in Cardiff, will provide an opportunity for students from  GW4 Universities (PhD and MPhil) working in this broad field to present their  ongoing research, discuss new ideas, and network with researchers who  share interests in sustainability science throughout the group of universities.

Send abstracts of around 200 words to sustainableplaces@cardiff.ac.uk, with "Graduate symposium" as the subject heading.  Closing date for abstract submission 18th July 2014
