Research Associate
Cardiff School of Biosciences

The appointee will work on the EU-funded MARS project (Managing Aquatic ecosystems and water Resources under multiple Stress), investigating the impact of multiple stressors on stream biodiversity and ecosystem function. Linking with the large on-going Duress programme, scenarios and modelling will explicitly address links between land-use, climate and ecosystem service resilience.

The successful candidate will have a i) relevant PhD (freshwater ecology, landscape ecology, ecosystem function), ii) experience in the analysis of large scale data sets, as well as iii) knowledge of the main GIS and modelling techniques used in landscape ecology. A demonstrable history of scientific publication is essential.
