Guiding local and regional economic resilience

This project was seeking to disseminate the findings from our research on the economic resilience of regions to the global economic crisis of 2008.

We drew on the evidence base from European research to establish some important principles to help policy-makers in regions assess their economic vulnerabilities and prepare for the possible impact of future crises.

We worked to disseminate these principles and policy lessons, and to develop them into usable tools and guidance for policy-makers developing local and regional economic resilience strategies.
