Andrea's research interests focus on the ecological footprint, its role in policy making, and assessing the environmental impacts of major events and festivals

Her research on the environmental impacts of major sport events has received media coverage worldwide. Andrea was a member of the London 2012 Carbon Management Strategy Technical Advisory Group, and is a member of the British Association of Sustainability in Sport (BASiS).

2003-2005: Reducing Cardiff's Ecological Footprint. Joint research project with Stockholm Environment Institute. Funded by Biffaward, Welsh Assembly Government and Cardiff Council.

2004-05: Measuring the environmental and economic impact of the 2004 FA Cup Final at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. A Collins A Flynn, M Munday and R Roberts. Funded by the ESRC BRASS Centre, Cardiff University.

2005-2006: Sustainable consumption and production: a review of current evidence and data. Funded by DEFRA.

2006: Environmental Indicators Project (Wales Environment Strategy). Funded by Welsh Assembly Government.
