Ymchwil
Mae fy maes ymchwil yn ymwneud ag effaith rolau newydd (yn benodol mabwysiadu rhagnodi gan nyrsys, fferyllwyr a gweithwyr proffesiynol perthynol i iechyd) ar ddarparu gwasanaethau. Mae llawer o'm gwaith wedi'i wneud ym maes gofal sylfaenol ac mae wedi cynnwys darparu gwasanaethau diabetes, dermatoleg a gwasanaethau poen. Rwyf hefyd wedi gwneud rhywfaint o waith sydd wedi archwilio addysg ryngbroffesiynol ac ymarfer cydweithredol rhyngbroffesiynol mewn timau gofal iechyd. Mae astudiaethau ymchwil cyfredol yn cynnwys ymchwil gyda rhagnodwyr nyrsys cymunedol a'r cymorth sydd ei angen i ehangu eu cwmpas o ymarfer rhagnodi, cymwyseddau stiwardiaeth gwrthficrobaidd ar gyfer addysg broffesiynol gofal iechyd israddedig, a datblygu ymyrraeth ar gyfer rhagnodi nyrsys a fferyllydd a fydd yn cefnogi'r dewis a'r defnydd o wrthfiotigau.

Bywgraffiad
Rwy'n nyrs yn ôl cefndir a oedd yn arbenigo mewn gofal dwys. Cyn dod i Brifysgol Caerdydd, gweithiais fel Athro ym Mhrifysgol Reading a Phrifysgol Surrey. Fi oedd cynghorydd presgripsiynu cenedlaethol y Coleg Nyrsio Brenhinol rhwng 2003 a 2008, ac mae gen i rolau ar amryw o weithgorau rhyngwladol a chenedlaethol a phwyllgorau cynghori prosiectau sy'n ymwneud â datblygu'r agenda addysg ac ymchwil ym maes rhagnodi a rheoli meddyginiaethau gan weithwyr gofal iechyd proffesiynol anfeddygol. Yn fwyaf diweddar, rwyf wedi bod â diddordeb mewn gwella canlyniadau clinigol i gleifion trwy raglenni stiwardiaeth gwrthficrobaidd. Roeddwn i'n byw yn yr Unol Daleithiau rhwng 2012 a 2014; Yn ystod y cyfnod hwn, cynhaliais swydd athro gwadd ym Mhrifysgol California, Davis. Rwy'n aelod o'r Academi Nyrsio Americanaidd.
