Somali Media and their role in Somalia's Civil War

My PhD looks into the complex nature of the Somali conflict and the role the media plays. Somalia's conflict has been going on for the past 21 years since the collapse of central government in 1991. I'm interested in the historical background of the country with regards to the escalation of the current civil war and how the country's media has played and continues to play a part.
