The School of Music has achieved a fantastic 100% overall satisfaction rate for the MA in Music.

The outstanding result was reported in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Servey (PTES), a national online survey which examines students’ experience in seven key areas including teaching and learning; assessment and feedback; engagement; and skills development.

The School of Music saw an increase in satisfaction in all seven areas of the survey, with five of these achieving a satisfaction rating of 97% or more.

In over 90% of questions asked, the School scored equal to or above the University’s average, and achieved a 100% satisfaction rating in over half of the questions asked.

The School has recently enjoyed a series of successes, rising to 13th place in the Guardian University league tables and 9th in the Times University rankings.

Satisfaction among postgraduate research students, reported in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey, was a fantastic 87%

Head of School, Ken Hamilton, said: “This splendid result is a tribute not only to the dedication of our staff, but also to our students, who together have helped to create a truly supportive musical community.”
