Cardiff student nominated for Student Midwife of the Year

Congratulations to 3rd year midwifery student Becky Westbury, who has been short-listed for the Student Nursing Times Awards 2014 in the Student Midwife of the Year category.
She will attend the Awards in London on the 1st May at the London Hilton on Park Lane, when the winners will be announced.
Becky was also recently one of the final short-list of 7 out of 350 applicants for the Cavell Outstanding Student Midwife Scholarship, and travelled to London for an interview. This is an amazing achievement, and Becky found the whole process invaluable.
An outstanding example of the midwifery students studying at Cardiff, all of whom approach their studies with dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism, Becky has written an article on being upright and using alternate positions in labour, due to be published in the next edition of Practising Midwife.
