This week Professor Mike Bruford a Co-Director here in Sustainable Places, provided a keynote speech at the European Congress of Mammalogy in Stockholm. 

The 7th European Congress of Mammalogy (ECM7) in Stockholm was held from 16-22 August 2015 with the aim to foster communication between researchers working on issues of mammalian biology in the European arena, as well as providing a venue for the broad dissemination of European mammal research. The congress provided an opportunity to hear the latest developments in various fields of mammalogy, to share research experience and expertise, and to develop new and closer contacts with colleagues from different countries. The conference covered a broad range of topics in mammal biology, including Species Interactions, Population Genetics, Conservation Biology and Ecology & Landscapes.

Professor Mike Bruford provided the keynote speech on Tuesday August 18th in Conservation Genetics, entitled “Conservation prioritisation using omic data: signal, noise and the power of domestication" speaking about his recently published paper about genomics and domestication in farm livestock.
