New students
Before induction, please complete the following tasks:
- Complete online enrolment
- If not already in possession of one, please collect your Student Card
- Please install the Zoom client (“Download Client” link at the bottom) to improve the online experience.- (Alternatively, the client can be installed using Zenworks/Cardiff Apps)
- Please consider installing Office 365 especially the Microsoft Teams client.
- Complete any personal arrangements e.g. opening a bank account

- Consult the map of Cardiff buildings (ABACWS is location 68)

Mandatory Training
You are required to complete both Health and Safety (H&S) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) training. These are both available online.
We have booked the following times in our computer labs (ABACWS, rooms 1.34/1.39) for you to complete this training.
Group A: Wednesday 27 September at 13:00
Group B: Thursday 28 September at 13:00
Groups C and D: Friday 29 September at 13:00
You are welcome to complete the training on your own device as well.

If you did not return your laptop last year (or required it for a re-sit), then you need to return it for reimaging. Ideally, please return your laptop to the office on the ground floor in Abacws before the 25September. On the 25 September you may take your laptop to the Katherine Johnson suite (S2.22) in the Queen’s buildings. You will then be able to collect your laptop on Friday 29 September 2023 from the same location.
