Coach collection service
Mae'r cynnwys hwn ar gael yn Saesneg yn unig.
Coach collection is for new international and EU students. This service operates during the September arrival period.
Please note that coach collection does not operate for January arrivals.
During coach collection, we will greet you in terminals 3, 4 and 5 of Heathrow Airport throughout the day. Coaches will arrive at Heathrow at regular intervals during this time.
You may have to wait at the airport before we have picked up everyone arriving on their flights.
If you are flying into terminals 1 or 2, please make your way to terminal 3 to meet our representatives.
We also provide a free mini-bus and taxi service for international students from Cardiff Airport to the University on coach collection days.
How to book
When the dates of our next coach collection service have been confirmed, you can book your place using our online booking form.
Please ensure you book flights that land long before the last time of coach collection as it can take a significant amount of time to get through immigration.
The coaches will not be able to wait for you if you are late. If you miss the collection service, you'll need to make your own way to Cardiff. Don't worry – this is generally quite easy.
The booking deadline will be confirmed closer to the arrival period.
Find us at the airport
Look for the red Cardiff University t-shirts and the red and white Cardiff University logo. We'll be located close to the meeting point. If you can’t find us, go to the information desk and they will be able to direct you to a member of our team.
Bringing your family
You can bring your spouse and children on coach collection for free, but please email us to book their places.
Priority will be given to newly arrived students, their spouses and their children. Parents or any other family members are not guaranteed space on the coach and will be allocated seats only if there is sufficient space.
If there is space, parents and other family members will be charged £15 each for this service. Therefore it is advisable that these family members plan to make their own way to Cardiff.
Please also be aware that they won't be able to stay in your accommodation with you and should book a hotel.
