You must ensure you arrive at the University by Sunday 18 September at the very latest.
If you arrive after Sunday 18 September you will:
- not be guaranteed University accommodation
- won't be able to use the free airport coach collection service
- miss induction and enrolment events to help you settle into your studies and make friends
- potentially miss lectures and important events on your course.
If you think you are going to arrive late then please email the International Office.
If you do not arrive on your official start date, you must obtain permission from your Academic School. Some Academic Schools do not allow you to start your course if you arrive as late as this, because you will have missed two weeks of lectures (which will start on Monday 26 September) and important meetings about your course.
For the majority of the students on taught courses, the latest date you can arrive at the University to start your course is Monday 10 October.
International Foundation Programme students latest start date is Monday 3 October.
MSc In Advance Practice students latest start date is Monday 26 September.
If you arrive this late, you will also have missed the School induction/enrolment meetings where you select any optional modules available to you on your course, receiving course information and meeting all your lecturers.
Entry into the UK refused
The UK Immigration Officers at all the UK airports will refuse you entry into the UK if you arrive two weeks after the latest start date of your course (as detailed on your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) email).
So if you're unable to get to the UK by this date, contact the international office to defer your entry on your course, as you will not be able to attend this year.
