On-campus housing at SF State is limited and is offered on a first come, first serve basis. OIP encourage International Students to apply for on-campus housing as early as possible. The University offer seven different types of on-campus housing and promote a number of off-campus housing options also.
Things to do
There is a wealth of things to do and see in San Francisco. These include the famous Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf and the rolling hilly roads that have featured in many a car chase in films and on television.
On the golden coast, San Francisco offers many opportunities for road trips. Keen golfers could take a trip to Pebble Beach or those wishing to travel slightly further afield could take a trip to LA.
Yosemite National Park, famous for its bears is also comfortable road trip distance as are Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.
San Francisco's climate is characteristic of the cool summer Mediterranean climate of California's coast, generally characterised by moist mild winters and dry summers.
