Our BSc Business Management programme provides a broad education across the range of business and management subjects and can be tailored to your professional interests.

We focus on developing a solid foundation of core knowledge in the area of business management through a universal first year. You will study seven compulsory modules to achieve a broad understanding of different business and management contexts and processes.

From here, you can choose to specialise in areas that you find stimulating and reflect your career aspirations by following a distinct pathway (Marketing, Human Resource Management, International Management, Logistics and Operations).

“I was taken aback by the vibrant city, friendly people, and first class university facilities. I’ve made some lifelong friends, grown in independence and confidence, and have left with a thirst for an exciting career in marketing.”

Aylish Chipman BSc Business Management (Marketing) graduate

Because of this broad based approach, we can offer a certain amount of flexibility allowing you to transfer to another programme at the end of the first year if you discover that one of the specialist routes holds greater interest for you and your future.

You can also choose to combine your studies with a language (German, French, Italian, Spanish or Japanese) and spend a year abroad at one of our partner institutions.

If you achieve a 60% average in your first year you are eligible to apply for our BSc Business Management with Integrated Work Placement.

“I recognised that having a Business Management degree is great but you need something to help you stand out in the graduate job market and I think internships and placements are the best way to do that.”

Ryan Hale Best Intern at National Undergraduate Awards 2018

The placement includes:

  • five-month work placement (second semester of the second year)
  • credit-bearing experience
  • paid placement (£250/ week on average)
  • practical work-based experience
  • a contract that can be extended by mutual consent.

Pathway to a degree

We’ve developed a pathway programme to help you study towards an undergraduate degree in Business Management (BSc).

Pathways are taught and assessed in similar ways to first year undergraduate courses and offer an alternative to A-levels and other access qualifications.

You’ll gain first-hand experience of studying in a vibrant higher education environment, picking up the tools and techniques to succeed on an undergraduate degree.

Find out how you can join a Pathway programme and study with us at one of the leading business and management schools in the UK.
