International Centre for Planning Research (ICPR)
The School's Strategic Plan for the period 1999-2004 identified the International Centre for Planning Research (ICPR) as "an umbrella organisation for all the research in the department and one of its prime duties is to promote the international role and image of CPLAN as a world class planning school, including the management of CPLAN's international links".
The ICPR acts as a service agent to the department, its research groups (Environment, Housing, Spatial Analysis, Spatial Planning and City Environments, Urban and Regional Governance) and the affiliated research centres (BRASS, CASS, Regeneration Institute, University Graduate College).
Primary Aims of the ICPR
- To stimulate the department's active engagement with international policy and practice.
- To administer the agreed conference programme.
- To co-ordinate the department's international links.
- To co-ordinate the ERASMUS/SOCRATES programme.
- To co-ordinate arrangements for the international visitors to the department.
