    Helen Jones, a MSc Transport and Planning student, has won the 'Best Student Paper - Transport' Award at the recent CILT Cymru National Transport Awards.

  • Huw Thomas Shortlisted for Award

    Dr Huw Thomas was shortlisted in the Best Personal Tutor category of the University's first-everEnriching Student Life Awards. There were awards in nine categories with three shortlisted in each category.

  • Yiming Wang wins Dyckman Award

    Dr Yiming Wang has won the Jack Dyckman Dissertation Award for for 2011. The award is given by the School of Policy, Planning, and Development, University of Southern California to the graduating doctoral student in planning who has produced the best dissertation.

  • Easter Egg Campaign for Local Charities

    Staff in the School, along with the School of Social Sciences and Cardiff Institute of Society, Health and Ethics, were involved in collecting Easter Eggs to support Reed Specialist Recruitment’s Easter Egg Mountain campaign, which collects from businesses in the area to give to local charities. This year some of the charities that will benefit are:

  • Student Award in Urban Design

    The first large-scale awards event from the Urban Design Group was held in February 2011. It saw Chris Walker (MA Urban Design) win the Student Award for his Neighbourhood Regeneration Project on St. Pauls in Bristol.
