Teaching Profile

Andrea teaches on the following modules at the School of City and Regional Planning

  • CP0121 Places and Plans (BSc CRP, year 1) - an introductory module to land use planning and urban design on the BSc City and Regional Planning.
  • CP0334 Spatial Strategy Making (BSc CRP, year 4)
  • CPT851 Studio II (MA Urban Design) Public participation techniques for community involvement in planning and design on the Master of Urban Design course
  • Field Study Visits to European cities (e.g., Berlin, Paris, Dortmund and Ruhr Area).

Outside Cardiff, Andrea has been invited to lecture on sustainable urban design at the Universidad del Bió-Bió in Concepción (Chile) as part of a British Council Link and at the Catholic University of Portugal in Lisbon on issues of teaching quality assurance in HE and the use of GIS in planning practice. Under the Erasmus staff exchange scheme, Andrea teaches regularly at the Hochschule fur Technik (Stuttgart, Germany) where she was awarded a Mathilde-Planck Grant (for 3 years) to cover two modules in the Master of Urban Planning Programme titled "English for Planners" and "International Planning Principles.
