Postgraduates Celebrate at Annual Dinner

Nearly one hundred postgraduate students from Cardiff School of Planning and Geography attended their annual dinner in May which was held in the opulent Committee Rooms of the Glamorgan Building.

Students looked really elegant in their dinner jackets and colourful evening gowns. A three course meal was served of warmed Duck confit over puff pastry with red onion marmalade to start, supreme of Penclawdd Chicken filled with Caerphilly cheese and leeks as a main followed by a chocolate torte with raspberries and vanilla Chantilly cream for dessert.

This was a great way for the schools postgraduate students to get together to celebrate the year and their achievements. The evening ended with dancing then the majority of the group carried on their celebrations in the lively city centre of Cardiff. They all commented on what a great evening it had been and how much they have enjoyed working towards their degrees with high profile academic staff.

The dinner is held every year for students across the whole suite of Masters Graduate School courses including MSc Transport and Planning, MSc International Planning and Development and MA Urban Design.
