International Forum on Low Carbon and Eco-City Planning and Development

Supported by Cardiff University Confucius Institute, the School of Planning and Geography will organise an international forum on low carbon and eco-city planning and development on March 20th and 21st 2014. The objectives of the forum are to share research and practices of low carbon and eco-cities planning and development from different countries, and to establish network for future cooperation.

11 speakers from the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Norway, China and UK have been invited to give presentations on the forum.  The topics for presentation consist of eco-city governance; sustainable development in Europe; energy efficiency; low carbon lifestyle; master plan for sustainability; regulating low carbon environment; land use and the new eco-public interests, regional transport and learning from tradition for modern development.
