Urban Design Student Work Recognised

The work of three MA Urban Design students has been recognised at the national Urban Design Group Student Awards.

Of the four shortlisted student projects from around the UK, three were from Cardiff University’s MA Urban Design, which is jointly run by the Welsh School of Architecture and Cardiff School of Planning and Geography.

Akolade Akiyode’s scheme for a Creative Hub for Swansea's High Street, Shu Tong's proposal for a new model of communal living in China reflecting on the socialist 'work unit', and Shen Gaojie's research-based design exploring the marketplace as an alternative to profit-focused redevelopment in China were nominated.

The final results of the competition will be announced in February 2014.
