
Dr John Lever


Over the last decade John has been involved in qualitative, mixed methods and policy oriented academic research in a number of areas, including cross sector partnership working; regeneration and sustainable communities; social exclusion, crime and community safety; international governance and civil society activism; quality food assurance, animal welfare, and halal and kosher meat markets. As a freelance social researcher John has recently conducted research on volunteering, partnership working, migration and destitution in the UK asylum system. John's current research interests revolve around regeneration / sustainable communities, migrant workers / entrepreneurs and supply chain issues related to animal welfare and halal/kosher meat markets.
