How did your degree most help you in the career or job you have now chosen?

Essential qualification.

Tell us a bit about your current job, how you got into what you are doing and what you enjoy about it most.

Inspector dealing with appeals in England.  Worked in local government and private practice before joining the Inspectorate 8 years ago.  I enjoy the variety of cases around the country and the challenge of putting together a convincing argument.

What opportunities do you feel have opened up to you as a result of being a student at the Cardiff School of Planning and Geography?

It is the gateway to a professional career.

Tell us any interesting facts about yourself, hobbies or interests that you have.

I go swimming and cycling almost every lunch time to get away from my desk.
