If you can’t keep your head when all about you, are keeping theirs and backing off from you, then come and learn to keep your cool, and no longer fear appearing a fool.
Anger is a natural emotional we all experience in response to two main triggers; feeling frustrated or threatened, physically or psychologically. The difficulty arises when we are unable to manage those angry feelings healthily, leading to difficulties such as expressing it aggressively, or cutting ourselves off from our emotions for fear of the power of our anger if we let ourselves express it.
This workshop is aimed at helping you learn how to manage and express angry feelings in a more effective way. It will clearly explain what anger is and how our bodies respond to it, before helping you to identify when anger becomes a problem and exploring why it is that some people get angrier than others.
The second half of the workshop will focus on identifying and setting out a three step strategy for expressing and managing your anger effectively.
- Understand the pay-offs and learn to recognise your triggers.
- Learn to calm yourself down in crisis situations.
- Learn strategies to prevent anger arising in the future.
The workshop will also show you ways to respond calmly and effectively in the face of other people’s anger, when you can be feeling intimidated or wanting to respond back angrily yourself.
