Postgraduate taught

Students work with staff at the forefront of research in their disciplines, and have access to dedicated facilities and equipment.

Specialist degrees

Our specialist degrees, some of which include the option of a professional work placement, provide students who have a background in computing with further study to advance their knowledge and practical skills.

Conversion degrees

Our conversion degrees, with the option of placement, are designed for graduates from non-computing backgrounds to develop the technical, analytical and professional skills required for a computing role.

Joint degrees

Together with other academic schools we offer a number of degrees designed to help you develop and apply core skills and knowledge across disciplines and give you the opportunity to study cutting edge topics in each area.

Placement

Enhance your CV and boost your employment prospects by opting to study for your master's degree along with a work placement year. The School is one of only a few in the UK to offer postgraduate work placement opportunities in the field of computer science.

Your paid year in industry would take place following successful completion of the taught elements of the course, allowing you to incorporate your industrial experience into the final dissertation which is completed following your work placement.

The School has a dedicated placement officer to ensure you have access to a broad variety of placement opportunities, in addition to providing constant support and guidance throughout the entire process.
