The Cardiff Neurosciences Centre (CNC) is fortunate to have access to many state of the art neuroscience centres and laboratories that provide essential facilities and equipment for neuroscience research at Cardiff University. This is complemented by the availability of key research services and expertise, providing an efficient and accurate means of conducting groundbreaking clinical and non-clinical neuroscience research.

Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC)
Provides 3T MRI, MEG, TMS and ERP services

Experimental MRI Centre (EMRIC)
Provides small animal MRI/MRS scanning services

Centre for Economic and Social Aspects of Genomics (CESAGen)
Collective expertise in social-science research and genomic science from Cardiff University and Lancaster University.

Wales Institute of Cognitive Neurosciences (WICN)
Collective expertise in Cognitive Neurosciences from three Welsh Universities, Bangor University, Cardiff University and Swansea University

Henry Wellcome Building for Biomedical Research
Psychiatric genetic and molecular neuroscience laboratories provide expertise in molecular genetics, clinical genetics, molecular neurobiology and behavioural/molecular epigenetics

Central Biotechology Services
Provides proteomics, biacore, microscopy and imaging, flow cytometry, genomics, histology and laser capture microdissection (LCM) services

Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Unit
Expertise in statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology and bioinformatics

Wales Gene Park
Provides transgenic production, array analysis, novel diagnostic and clinical services

Henry Wellcome Laboratories for Behavioural Transgenic and Molecular Neuroscience
Service for the creation and behavioural testing of mouse knockout and transgenic models
