In the scope of Brain Awareness Week 2010, the Postgraduate Cardiff Neuroscience Society (PCNS) is proud to present our next Neuroscience Cafe:
*Stem Cells; Progress - Issues - Misconceptions*
Always wanted to know what Stem cells are? What we can do with them? What needs to be done to regulate it all? Do you want to discuss your ideas and opinions on this topic with other people? We have three very interesting presentations for you, followed by an open discussion of the topic!

Andrew Hollins (School of Biosciences) --"Demystifying the Stem Cell"
Alexander Klein (School of Biosciences) -- "Brain Repair - Does It Work?"
Jamie Lewis (MRC centre for the Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics) -- "The surveillance of cellular scientists' practice"
Date: Thursday 11th of March at 6PM
Venue: Graduate Centre in the Students Union.
We will start of at 6PM with free pizza and wine and the three talks will start around 6.15-6.20, after which the floor will be opened for discussion. Please join us!!
The PCNS aims to bridge the gap between science & society and discuss contemporary topics from a whole range of different angles. This is not just for neuroscientist, all postgraduates are welcome to join!!!
