Information on external funding opportunities
There are a number of sources of information on funding opportunities:
- Rebecca Blackwell produces a monthly email bulletin and handout on forthcoming funding opportunities from major humanities funders. This is circulated to School Directors of Research and Research Administrators, for onward circulation within Schools.
- The University maintains a subscription to ResearchResearch.com, which is freely available to all University staff and students. This is an on-line database that can be searched for research funding opportunities by key-word or subject area. Users can also subscribe to regular email alerts, tailored to specific criteria. For further information or training on using this resource, contact Jane Whittingham in RACDV. WhittinghamJ@cf.ac.uk, tel: 029 2087 6930.
- Jane Whittingham also produces a fortnightly summary of all research opportunities, called 'Research@'. To receive a hard copy or e-copy, please contact Jane. Back-copies of 'Research@' can be found on RACDV webpages.
Collaborations and Knowledge Transfer
Humanities Schools are keen to make their activities more visible across and beyond the University, and are open to supporting external collaborations and to facilitating relationships with partners from outside of academia, across all sectors, including cultural, heritage, science and industry.
Funding is available from the AHRC and ESRC to support ‘Knowledge Transfer’ activities, which may support such collaborations. Please contact Rebecca Blackwell in RACDV to discuss further.
