Senior Lecturer/Lecturer
Cardiff School of Chemistry

We are looking for two highly talented colleagues, with one appointment in each of the following areas:

- Inorganic chemistry
- Synthetic organic chemistry
 
Applications are sought from candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance existing strengths within the School. They should also further strengthen existing partnerships with related disciplines, and foster dynamic research collaborations both within the university and beyond.

The research focus of the inorganic chemistry post should be in pioneering coordination chemistry and its diverse applications. Candidates with additional expertise and interest in advanced spectroscopic and analytical techniques are also sought.

The research focus of the synthetic organic chemistry post should be in the development of innovative synthetic methodology applied to areas such as natural product, heterocyclic, materials or physical organic chemistry.

You should have an excellent publication and track record and demonstrate the ability to obtain research funding and support.  The successful candidate will contribute to the ambitious teaching aspirations of the School and seek to be an inspiring and innovative teacher at both UG and PG levels.

The full time (35 hour per week) open ended appointment will be made at a level commensurate with experience.
Salary:
Lecturer: £30,728 - £36,661 per annum (Grade 6)
Lecturer: £38,907 - £45,053 per annum (Grade 7)
Senior Lecturer: £46,400 - £53,765 per annum (Grade 8)
