Congratulations to our Graduating Class of 2012

We would like to offer our congratulations to our 2012 graduating class. This has been an exceptional year for the School of Chemistry with a very high proportion of degrees awarded in the first and upper-second degree classifications.

A number of students received prizes, supported either by the School of Chemistry or various external sponsors. We would particularly like to congratulate these students, and to thank the sponsors for making possible the award of prizes.
Jack Routledge received the Tocris Prize for the best performance in year 4 of the MChem degree programme and was also awarded the School MChem award for excellence. Will Dean received the School Prize for outstanding performance in year 4 of the MChem. Emily Langdon-Jones was awarded a Royal Society of Chemistry prize for a similar distinction.
The David Walsh prize for best performance by a student on the BSc degree programme was awarded to David Crole, while the School Prize for outstanding performance on the BSc programme, was awarded to Lucy Mulcahy.
The Lion Labs prize for best BSc project went to Daniel Jones. The NIPA medal for best overall practical performance in the BSc programme was awarded to Nathan White.
